-
What do I have to consider when shooting the video?
Note when shooting:
- The basic rule is: go for the motif. Whether it's a person, activity or workplace: what matters must be in the foreground and easily recognizable.
- Jerky movements: A video of employees does not need to be perfect. The image can shake a little, but jerky movements should be avoided.
- Clothing: You can wear your normal work clothes. If you have a T-shirt with the Hermes Fulfilment logo, this creates additional recognition value.
- Background noise: Remember that if you are filming in a loud background noise, spoken words may be difficult to understand.
- Brevity is the spice of life: Videos on social media channels should not be longer than one minute (exception: interview videos or explainer videos). Experience has shown that attention wanes with anything longer.
- Just be yourself: Employees in front of the camera should come across as authentic and likeable. Viewers will quickly notice if you don't feel comfortable in your own skin or are pretending.
- Avoid technical terms: Anyone acting and speaking in front of the camera should mentally assume the position of the audience. Only very few people will know the processes in logistics centers and be familiar with technical terms such as batch, sorter and WAB.
Possible structure of the video:
- Introduction: Just like the first lines in a text, the first few seconds of a video decide whether the target group actually watches or stays tuned in. An interesting motif or an unusual perspective should provide a visually appealing introduction. A short intro in the form of a question is also possible (example: Have you always wanted to know what happens in the background during online shopping?) Ideally, the company logo should be visible right at the beginning (for example on the T-shirt) to create recognition value.
- Main part: It is worth getting to the point quickly in the videos. It is best to think about the messages beforehand so that you can then formulate them briefly and succinctly in the video.
- Conclusion: To encourage viewers to take the desired action, the video should end with a "call to action". Examples of this are: "Visit our website.", "Find out about vacancies with us at www.....", "Next week, XY will introduce you to his job as an order picker here."
-
What and who am I allowed to film?

You can then photograph the signed consent forms and send them to us later with your video. § Section 22 KUG stipulates that anyone wishing to publish an image must first obtain the consent of the persons concerned.
- Minimum age of the persons shown: All persons shown must be at least 16 years old.
- Customer data: Address labels of end customers* are taboo.
