"Anything big and heavy" is probably the most common answer when people ask what goods we move at the Löhne logistics center. We take care of the handling of large items and the associated returns management. It is particularly important to us to meet the requirements of end customers. With a total capacity of 255,000 m², Hermes Fulfilment moves more than three million large items a year for Germany and abroad from its two sites in Löhne, Scheidkamp and Schillenbrink. The focus of logistics processing is on large-volume items weighing more than 31.5 kilograms. The range includes white goods (such as household appliances), brown goods (multimedia e.g. televisions) and an extensive range of furniture. As the OTTO Group's logistics service provider, more than 450 employees in Löhne work hand in hand on logistics tasks such as incoming goods, storage, order picking, quality control and post-processing of deliveries. Returned white and brown goods are also processed in the company's own certified master workshop. The site also has a spare parts service for household items and furniture parts. The fabric and wood sample dispatch service sends around 300,000 sample consignments a year to customers who want to see the material and color "in the flesh" before they buy. Please report to our security guard at the gate on your first day. A passport photo will be taken for your employee ID card. You will receive this afterwards. From this point onwards, please have your employee ID with you at all times, as this is required to enter and leave the site in order to stamp your start and end of working hours at the designated terminals. The security colleagues will inform your manager, who will then collect you.
A mentor, who will be responsible for you during your induction period, will be on hand to answer any questions you may have. As soon as you enter the company premises, it is important that you wear your work clothes. This primarily includes a vest and protective footwear. These will be given to you at the start of your work on your first day. After you have received a locker key, you can get changed and inspect your new workplace with your manager. Here you will receive your safety briefing. As soon as you have no more questions for us, you can start work.
Your health is important to us. That's why we have launched the voluntary health promotion bonus program. From 01.01.2024 to 31.12.2024, you can collect points for great rewards and keep yourself and your body fit at the same time.
How does it work?
1) Get the bonus booklet from your HR department
2) Collect points in different categories, such as sports events, participation in a smoking cessation course or health courses to be completed once
3) Add up your points and enter them in the bonus booklet
4) Have the points confirmed by the HR department after presenting proof of participation

5) Choose a bonus depending on the number of points you have achieved

Please note that the bonus booklet must be submitted by the end of January of the following year. Later submissions will not be considered.
Who can take part?
All permanent employees and trainees as well as fixed-term employees with a period of employment of more than 12 months can participate. All employees and trainees who are in an unterminated employment/trainee relationship at the time the bonus is paid are eligible for the bonus. This does not apply to employees/trainees who have given notice without notice and were entitled to do so; they can continue to redeem their points when the corresponding number of points is reached.
The rewards are fixed in the bonus booklet and cannot be converted into cash.
