There is a lot going on in our logistics center, which opened in spring 2020: large items weighing more than 31.5 kilograms are stored, packed and shipped here in an area of 76,000 m2. These could be washing machines, TVs or furniture, for example. Up to 10,000 orders are dispatched from Ansbach every day. Incidentally, the shelves in our modern logistics center are not quite as high as the mountains in Bavaria, but at 12.40 m, the view of our 250 colleagues is directed steeply upwards. And that's just fine! The Hermes Fulfilment external warehouse in Freystadt is only about 70 kilometers away from Ansbach.
Our company canteen is open daily from Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 09:30 and 11:00 to 13:00. In addition to the daily changing dishes for breakfast and a varied salad bar, our canteen offers a large and inexpensive selection of tasty and healthy dishes for lunch.
In summer, you can spend your breaks on our beautiful and quiet sun terrace. We have also set up several coffee kitchens/recreation rooms in our various departments. Each room is equipped with a modern fully automatic coffee machine and a water dispenser, which are available to all colleagues free of charge.
As a small compensation, there is the opportunity to play a round of table football with your colleagues during the breaks.
Welcome to the team!
On your first day at work, please report to your colleagues at our gate, who will grant you access to the company premises. Your colleagues will know that you are starting with us and will register you with your manager / the HR department. We will pick you up on your first day of work so that you arrive at your workplace on the large premises. An employee ID card will be issued for you, which will later allow you free access. You must carry this with you at all times. If you lose your ID card, please contact your manager or the HR department immediately so that the card can be blocked and a new one issued for you.
Before you can inspect your future workplace, you will be given a safety briefing. As soon as you have no more questions for us, your induction can begin. You can park free of charge in the parking lots in front of the company premises. The StVO applies.
Your health is important to us. That's why we have launched the voluntary health promotion bonus program. From 01.01.2024 to 31.12.2024, you can collect points for great rewards and keep yourself and your body fit at the same time.
How does it work?
1) Get the bonus booklet from your HR department
2) Collect points in different categories, such as sports events, participation in a smoking cessation course or health courses to be completed once
3) Add up your points and enter them in the bonus booklet
4) Have the points confirmed by the HR department after presenting proof of participation

5) Choose a bonus depending on the number of points you have achieved

Please note that the bonus booklet must be submitted by the end of January of the following year. Later submissions will not be considered.
Who can take part?
All permanent employees and trainees as well as fixed-term employees with a period of employment of more than 12 months can participate. All employees and trainees who are in an unterminated employment/trainee relationship at the time the bonus is paid are eligible for the bonus. This does not apply to employees/trainees who have given notice without notice and were entitled to do so; they can continue to redeem their points when the corresponding number of points is reached.
The rewards are fixed in the bonus booklet and cannot be converted into cash.
To ensure a uniform appearance, we regularly provide you with a package of work clothing. This includes T-shirts, pullovers, pants and jackets as well as ergonomic safety shoes. Please always remember to wear your safety shoes and a high-visibility vest when entering our warehouse.
Daily attendance is registered via our ATOSS system. To do this, you log in and out via a terminal in the relevant department. Vacation and time off can be requested digitally via the ATOSS app and the manager also approves this via the system. Time balances and the work schedule can also be displayed. You will receive instruction from your manager. In the first year, all employees (based on a 5-day week) are entitled to 27 working days' vacation. This entitlement increases with length of service. The full vacation entitlement arises for the first time after 6 months of employment. In the year of employment, you will receive pro rata leave, i.e. as many twelfths of the annual leave as you have worked for the company for full months in the calendar year. The month of employment counts as a full month of employment if you are hired by the 15th of the month.
In the event of illness, you must report sick to your manager in good time before the start of your shift.
