Close your eyes for a moment and imagine 26 soccer fields. Have you got it? That's exactly the size of our logistics center and Hermes delivery base (HAB for short) in Haldensleben near Magdeburg. We handle up to 200 million items here every year. Haldensleben is one of the largest and most modern centers of its kind in Europe. There is plenty of greenery and water all around - and lots of glass and light inside. But it is above all the people who work here who create a friendly working atmosphere: 3,000 friendly colleagues.
Our company canteen is located on the first floor of building 8 and is a very large and bright room with a view of a small lake. It offers a large selection of different dishes, including vegetarian dishes, for breakfast, lunch and dinner every day. Salad and fruit are always available.
As an employee, you get discounted prices. You can pay here either with the transponder via payroll deduction or with a rechargeable cash card that can be purchased on site.

And there are vending machines in the departments for a small snack in between. You will also find free water dispensers throughout the dispatch center. You are welcome to fill your own bottle.
We have set up various break areas in our company so that you can relax and enjoy the food you have brought with you.
On your first day at work, please report to your colleagues at our staff gate, who will grant you access to the company premises. Your colleagues will know that you are starting with us.
To ensure that you arrive at your workplace on the large premises, the department will pick you up on the first day.
You will be given a transponder (chip), which will later allow you free access to the company premises.
Your colleagues will also take a photo of you, which will be used as a "profile picture" in the Atoss app (system for shift planning and time recording).
If you lose your transponder, please contact security immediately on 03904/61-3110 so that it can be blocked and you can be issued with a new one.
You can park free of charge in the parking lots in front of the company premises. The StVO applies.
Please note that bag and identity checks will be carried out at random when you leave the premises.
In some areas, the wearing of work clothing, in particular work shoes, is mandatory. You will find out in good time whether this applies to you.
The clothing will then be made available to you free of charge after checking your clothing sizes.
As a rule, a fitting will take place in advance for the operating technology area.

Daily attendance is registered via our ATOSS system. To do this, you log in and out via a PDA terminal in the relevant department. Vacation and time off can be requested digitally via the ATOSS app and the manager also approves this via the system. Time balances and the work schedule can also be displayed. You will receive instructions from your manager.
During the probationary period, employees covered by collective agreements are entitled to 27 working days (based on a 5-day week) and 30 working days per calendar year after the probationary period. Non-pay-scale employees (full-time) are entitled to 32 working days' vacation per calendar year.
The full vacation entitlement arises for the first time after 6 months of employment. In the year of employment, you will receive pro rata leave, i.e. as many twelfths of the annual leave as you have full months of employment with the company in the calendar year.
Please discuss your vacation requests for the current year with your manager in good time. Vacation planning for the following year is generally made by 31.10.
